Summer 2012

Well summer just flew by. We end every summer by going to Silver Birch Ranch. It is a Christian camp. It is litterally one of my top favorite places on earth.

 The girls and Grandma Annie. She adores the girls and they think she is the coolest Grandma ever. She is a dear friends mom who visits every 18 moths or so from South Africa. She has always had a special bond to Sofi ecspecially. There is a rare connection between them that can't be put into words.

 We went to bay beach a few times.

 We went to Chicago with our Life Group family.

Lovin Summer

 

 We r still enjoying every minute of summer. Going to park, pool, zoo, picnics,weddings, lake anything we can fit in. We r also working on our Dossier for China.

 The petting zoo here at this small zoo is wonderful. Sofia doe NOT find it enjoyable though. She usually sits on this chair waiting for everyone.

 Will is growing up too fast.

Busy summer fun.....

I have been a terrible blogger lately. I'm trying to enjoy every moment of time with the kiddos. They are all growing and changing so much.

 We went to Saint Louis for vacation. The Saint Louis zoo was amazing and free.

 We went to Six Flags there too. The girls won prizes playing games.

Best weeknd ever....

What an awesome weekend! I work most (nearly every) weekend to save money for Elle's adoption so a whole 3 day weekend is unheard of. Our dear friend's daughter got married Saturday. It was magical. We have known her since she was 11 and have had the privelage watching her grow into a GODly young woman. Her groom equally loves the Lord.

 Lize, Faith and Sofia danced the entire night. Faith was from the same city as Lize. We traveled together to get our lil ladies.

 Zach and Giles have been best buds since 1st n 2nd grade.

 Alissa was a beautiful bride-the girls were so cute. They kept saying how she looks like a princess.

We also went to a drive in movie. It was too much fun. It had been over 20 years since James or I had been to one. The kids thought it was soo cool to watch a movie outside like a pinic. We also went to a car show n cooked out with friends. It was a weekend to remember.

Boys

It's been a lil crazy around here. Will loves all things boy, dangerous, crazy and busy. For boy scouts they got to shoot AR15's. I guess it's a big thing. Will loved it!!

Locks of Love and Pantene

Today was a big day. Sofia decided after looking at Hailey's blog Sunday that she wanted a short haircut and give her hair to locks of Love like Hailey's other friend. I her to wait till tuesday to decide because I was attached to her long hair. Tuesday came I chickened out so I told her friday we will do it if she wanted to. Friday came and both Lize and Sofi wanted to cut their hair now.
First was Lize. She only had 8" so hers went to Pantene (diff company but same concept).

It turned out super cute. I have to admit, Lize freaked after the initial cut. She loved it later but it wasn't a lovely site during the haircut.

Sofia's new do!

It looks super cute! Sofia always says how much she loves her hair so this was a big deal. She taught mommy another lesson about giving. Lize said at night that really hit me hard "I am still Lize Grace just with shorter hair." I realized I was more attached to their hair than their giving hearts were.
